Journey to Gold

I am a graduate of the Web Development program at Pinellas Technical College, dedicated to achieving impactful results. My deep immersion in the field led to rapid success, culminating in winning Gold (1st Place) at the SkillsUSA Web Development competition at both the state and national levels—a first for my college in over a decade. I apply this same focus and commitment to every project, using technical expertise and design to deliver high-quality, real-world solutions.

Problem-Solving Mindset

The Resilience Engine

My professional approach is driven by the belief that every challenge is an opportunity. I fully embrace the mindset that failure is fuel. The principle I follow is simple: as Robert F. Kennedy once stated, ‘Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.’ This resilience gives me the courage to tackle complex problems head-on, treating every technical roadblock not as a defeat, but as a crucial step toward discovering the most powerful and elegant solutions.

Impact-First Development

My passion is rooted in using technical expertise and design to solve tangible, real-world problems and provide lasting value. My commitment to delivering on this promise has already translated into success: I built a volunteer-based landing page that quickly led to my first paid maintenance role, demonstrating my ability to earn trust and deliver reliable, high-quality work. I am eager to collaborate on more professional projects where I can prove my capability to generate measurable impact.

Driven By Purpose

The Motivation: Family First

My professional drive is deeply rooted in my family. As a devoted mom of two amazing boys, I began this career in web development to find a path I genuinely enjoy, one that offers the flexibility to work from home and helps provide a wonderful life for my family. Being a mom first is the most important thing to me, and my dedication to my family is mirrored in my dedication to my work.

A Commitment to Community

I believe that professional skills should always be used to serve others. This commitment extends to my community involvement, where I regularly volunteer at the PTC Clearwater Food Pantry. This practice ensures that I stay focused on using my talents to create solutions that meaningfully help people.

"Kaylee Conley is an exceptional student and emerging professional whose dedication and growth have been nothing short of inspiring. She entered the Web Development program with no prior experience and, within six months, earned a National Gold Medal in Web Design and Development at SkillsUSA—a reflection of her talent, work ethic, and leadership. Beyond the classroom, Kaylee is a member of the National Technical Honor Society and actively gives back by volunteering at the PTC Clearwater Food Pantry. As a mother to a one-year-old, Kaylee exemplifies balance and resilience, showing up fully for both her family and her goals. Kaylee is not only driven—she’s thoughtful, collaborative, and a joy to work with. I’m confident she’ll continue to excel in every opportunity she pursues."

"Ms. Conley is a dedicated leader on the Pinellas Technical College Clearwater Campus. She exemplifies consistent dedication to all her projects and her team. As the president of our National Technical Honors Society, she has spearheaded multiple opportunities to engage the membership through community service, growth, and professionalism. Ms. Conley does not shy away from personal opportunities and is engaged, with conviction, towards her goals. Last year, she won Gold at the National SkillsUSA Conference and Competition besting many gold medal winners from the United States state competition, a feat accomplished only by the absolute best students across the nation. She is a committed leader with new ideas and the drive to place them into action. Ms. Conley will be missed on our campus as she graduates and moves into her profession, at which I am sure she will excel."
